I am excited to introduce you to Nadia Fares, French actress, aspiring director, mom and animal rights activist. She made her film debut in 1992 and has since starred in many action/thriller French movies and tv shows, including the French TV series, Les Ombres Rouges. We are honored to feature Nadia in our Women of Courage series and give you a peek into her life and what matters most to her.

Where did you grow up? 

South of France, Nice.

 

What is one of your favorite childhood memories?

When I got my first puppy, named Oural. 

 

You have been selected as our “Woman of Courage” this month. Can you tell us what Courage means to you?

 

"To me, courage means having the confidence to share your opinions, despite haters or what other people think."

 

What is one of the biggest challenges you face and what gives you the courage to face that challenge?

My biggest challenge is to stay centered, balanced, and to know we grow by learning from our mistakes.

"I believe in magic, and the power that we all have inside ourselves to do extraordinary things."

 

If you could change one thing right now, what would it be?  

To eradicate racism and cruelty from the human species.

My two daughters are the best gift in my life.

I spice up my life with a sense of humor, whenever I can!

 

If you could have dinner with anyone in history, who would it be?

Ayrton Senna. He was an elite Brazilian race car driver who won the World Championship and 41 Grands Prix and 65 pole positions. 

What’s next for Nadia in 2021?

I love being a director and am hoping to direct my first movie this year.
